During the last Arts Festival I met the Reclamation Coordinator & chatted regarding getting my son's school, St. Stephen's Episcopal Day School in Coconut Grove, potential involvement in this project. After persistence....I believe a meeting took place including an introduction. I hope the school takes advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

On a more personal side, I have recently collected stranded mangrove seedlings with my 5-year old son Gabriel. They are now at home displayed in a similar fashion to those in the Miami Science Museum. To that end I have a question....can I add regular fresh water to the seedlings?

As a final note, I am interested in joining the reclamation project on 9/28 in their efforts to plant the mangroves in Virginia Key Beach. If possible, I would love to take my son Gabriel so he could see and experience the mangroves personally.

I look forward to your reply and answers to both questions. I can be reached via email or cell (305)298-0472.
