 Coral Reef Montessori Academy

Founded by two former Miami-Dade County Public Schools teachers (Juliet King and Lucy Canzoneri-Golden) in 1998, Coral Reef Montessori Academy strives for excellence in all areas of Montessori pedagogy, resulting in a holistic education for each individual child. We serve nearly 500 children from ages 3-14, in grades pre-K3 (three year-old pre-kindergarten) through eighth.

Coral Reef Montessori Academy partnered with the Reclamation Project in the spring of 2011. Teachers Terri and Sarah Bein led the collaborative effort to bring the project to the Coral Reef community by exhibiting a small red mangrove installation on their classroom window.

The Reclamation Project looks forward to continuing its partnership with Coral Reef Montessori in the effort to educate, conserve, and restore mangrove habitats.
