Ransom Everglades: About the School

Ransom Everglades School is a college preparatory school that encompasses grades 6 through 12. The school was founded in 1903 to students who “believe they are put in the world not so much for what they can get out of it as for what they can put into it.” These values have come to characterize the Ransom Everglades program. Over the past century, the school has evolved from a small boys’ migratory boarding school into one of the finest coeducational college preparatory day schools in the country.

Ransom Everglades nurtures the whole student, promoting and celebrating honor and excellence in every discipline. Devoted faculty, staff and parents preserve and perpetuate a school community that cultivates emotional, moral and physical well-being in addition to developing each student’s intellectual capacity through academics, arts and athletics.

The spirit of Ransom Everglades’ commitment to its students is exemplified through its emphasis on: Tradition, Thinking, Teamwork, Talent and Technology.
