Participatory Ecoart: The Reclamation Project

Ecoart engages communities to address environmental problems directly, and in highly creative ways. The Reclamation Project (http://www.reclamationproject.net), led by FIU College of Architecture + The Arts | Office of Engaged Creativity Artist in Residence Xavier Cortada, is a pioneering ecoart program in South Florida that encourages the fusion of culture and environmental stewardship. Cortada will discuss the importance of ecoart in education and in engaging South Floridians in an effort to reforest coastal and urban areas.

The event will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a meet and greet with the speaker, followed by a lecture at 7:00 p.m. For more information, contact Linda Kaplan at [email protected] or (305) 396-7000, or visit seas.fiu.edu.
