Miami-Dade County Public Schools Plant a Tree and Flag for Earth Day 2013
 
Miami-Dade County Public Schools has again partnered with artist Xavier Cortada in presenting Native Flags, an eco-project that consisted of planting a native tree sapling alongside a green flag at every school. Other presenting partners include the Reclamation Project at the Miami Science Museum, the Florida International University College of Architecture + The Arts (where Cortada serves as Artist-in-Residence)the Deering Estate at Cutler and the National Association of Counties
