Miami-Dade County Public Schools has again partnered with artist Xavier Cortada in presenting Native Flags, an eco-project that consists of planting a native tree sappling alongside a green flag at every school. Other presenting partners include the Reclamation Project at the Miami Science Museum, the Florida International University College of Architecture + The Arts | Office of Engaged Creativity, and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Images will be uploaded to www.nativeflags.org.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools plant a tree in every school on April 10, 2012
As a companion to the tree planting activities, schools and the community at large can also view a WLRN-produced informational video throughout Earth Week, highlighting the relevance of these activities as a way to increase our community’s tree canopy.
